With an overgrown hill and a failing retaining wall in their backyard, the client reached out to Studio Wattle for a comprehensive backyard remodel. We created a terrace for relaxation, gatherings, and watching golf on the projector. A deck is designed at the same elevation of the interior to allow seamless movement from indoors to outdoors while facilitating stormwater drainage below. Two tree-holes in the deck are occupied by Red Maples that offer shade and cooler temperatures for daytime use during the summer. Shoring up the slopes is a wildflower blend of annuals and native perennials to mitigate erosion.
